Programmed Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT)The PERT Chart is another name for the Activity Network. PERT is the older name, and is believed to have originated in the US Navy in the 1950s.PERT stands for Programmed Evaluation and Review Technique. PERT Charts are often used in combination with the Critical Path Method (CPM).
