Correlation coefficientThe Correlation coefficient (or coefficient of correlation) is a calculated number which indicates the degree to which two sets of numbers correlate (i.e. are statistically related). This will vary from -1, which indicates perfect negative correlation, through 0, which indicates no correlation at all, to +1, which indicates perfect positive correlation. Thus the closer the value is to plus or minus 1, the better the correlation. See also:Scatter Diagram, Correlation |
